There are three types of skills in Wartales:

  • Active - all class based and most other of them consume some Valour point Valorous Points ( VP ).
  • Passive - don't need any VP to cause effect, some of them works since the beginning of the battle or when you fulfill their condition.
  • Base - don't need any VP, only one Base action can be used per turn. All main-hand Weapon Skills are of the Base type.

Some skills can be improved with Skill Mastery book Skill-Mastery-Book.

Archer Skills[]

Valour pointValour point Barrage 1 Targets a specific area. Performs an Attack of Opportunity against the 3 first enemies crossing the area.

User defines a cone of effect when using the skill. Enemies moving into, out of, or within this cone activate the attack of opportunity. This applies whether the unit is moved willingly or not, and separate movements (such as Move and Run) will each trigger an attack.

Vigilance - Cannot be used if this unit is engaged in combat.

Targeting - This unit is readying a skill and cannot be engaged.

Attack of Opportunity - An attack that deals 100% of the Strength or Dexterity.

2 Targets a specific area. Performs an Attack of Opportunity against the 4 first enemies crossing the area.

Valour pointValour point Aimed Shot 1 Deals (70% DEX) damage to the target. Damage increased by 5% for each metre separating the target from this unit.
