There are a lot of different human enemies in Wartales, with most of them belonging to a certain Faction.
Some factions only show up in certain regions. Some of them can have different armour equipped when spawned for a certain quest, so this article will only list their "standard" equipment. Level of enemy decides the level of their equipment, if that equipment has level.
At level 3, one new type of unit will show up for each faction.
At level 6, another new type of unit will show up for each faction.
They will also receive their Faction Bonus, which is a passive skill applied to all units belonging to this enemy group.
Leader type enemies is only present for groups spawned by a contract from Taverns, and some groups spawned for quests.
If a quest group has no "Leader" but a named normal enemy, that enemy will be randomly chosen from all units in that group, then have its name applied to that unit.
Bandits[]
This faction's unit count as Outlaws, which is written below its unit class.
This faction's unit can spawn as wild roaming bands from Forest area.
This faction's unit can spawn as quest group from tavern contract, belonging to the "Vanquish" kind.
This faction's unit will occupy 2~3 locations in a region, with one of them counting as their "Lair".
Lair's strength is displayed as skull marks above the location. For each skull-marked groups destroyed, lair lose a skull and has it's defending strength reduced, so it is advised to find and destroy all marked groups before you attack a lair.
There are also 1~2 roaming groups with skull mark in each regions that also count toward strength reduction. The number of all skull-marked group in a region always matches the max number of skulls displayed on the lair those groups are bonded to.
Hoodlum[]
Basic unit equipped with Outlaw's Tunic (Light Armour) and Damaged Dagger (Dagger).
Poacher[]
Basic unit equipped with Outlaw's Tunic (Light Armour) and Hunter's Bow (Bow).
Marauder[]
Advanced unit equipped with Outlaw's Hauberk (Medium Armour) and Great Pig Iron (Two-handed Axe).
This unit only shows in groups level 3+.
Wrongdoer[]
Elite unit equipped with Outlaw's Chestpiece (Heavy Armour), Wrongdoer's Mace (Mace) and Bandit Shield (Shield).
This unit only shows in groups level 6+.
This unit has a passive skill: Looting Experience: Increase all ally's Critical Damage by 30%.
Ringleader[]
Leader unit equipped with Oultaw's Valuable Tunic (Light Armour) and Ringleader's Dagger (Dagger).
This unit has a passive skill: Leader's Aggression: As long as this unit is not engaged, all ally units' attacks are always critical hits.
Faction Passive[]
Oath of Cowards (Passive): Damage dealt to engaged enemies +30%
Dishonorable Trick (Passive) : Gains Fury (next attack +50% damage) if attacked twice by same unit in a single turn
Deserters[]
This faction's unit count as Outlaws, which is written below its unit class.

Henchman[]

Bomber[]

Renegade[]
Elite unit equipped with Renegade's Brigandine (Medium Armour), and Deserter's Lance (Polearm).

Faction Passive[]
Thirst for Freedom (passive): Get Galvanization (+50% damage) if next to at least two enemies
Independence (passive): Apply Fragility (damage taken +30%) if next to at least two enemies

Advanced unit equipped with Legion Gambeson (Medium Armour) and Knight's Steel Greatsword (Two-handed Sword).

Emissary[]
Elite unit equipped with ??? (??? Armour) and Legion Lance (Polearm).
This unit only shows in groups level 6+.
This unit has a passive skill: ???: This unit cannot be engaged. At the end of its round, heal nearby allies 20% or their maximum health.
Commander[]
Leader unit equipped with Precious Legion Gambeson (Medium Armour) and Legion Guisarme (Polearm).
This unit has a passive skill: ???: As long as this unit is not engaged, every attack from an ally unit also deals 5% damage to target's health.
Faction Passive[]
From level 6, Legion units receive passive skill: ???: When a Legion unit ends its turn adjacent to an ally, it gain Deflection.
Companions[]
This faction's unit does not spawn as wild roaming bands.
This faction's unit will show up as bodyguards for travelling Merchant caravans.
This faction's unit can spawn as quest group from tavern contract, belonging to the "Assassination" kind.
Companions is the largest mercenary guild in the Five Kingdoms.
Hired Killer[]

Attacking a patrolling Guards group will instantly cause your Suspicion level being risen to 100. Attacking a Guards group spawned by quest does not.

Phalanx Soldier[]
Basic unit equipped with Guard Gambeson (Medium Armour) and Reinforced Spear (Polearm).

Purifier[]
Advanced unit equipped with Gambeson of the Light (Medium Armour) and Inquisition Great Axe (Two-handed Axe).

Worshipper[]
Elite unit equipped with Blessed Jacket (Light Armour) and Inquisition Cinqueda (Dagger).
This unit only shows in groups level 6+.
This unit has a passive skill: ???: Enemy can't gain Galvanisation as long as this unit exists.
Paladin[]
Leader unit equipped with Paladin's Battleplate (Heavy Armour), Ulfberht of the Eye (Sword) and Veteran Roundel (Shield).
This unit has a passive skill: ???: All allies do 30% more damage for each bonus on their target.
Faction Passive[]
From level 6, Inquisition units receive passive skill: ???: When an Inquisition unit engages an enemy, it execute an Attack of Opportunity.
Tracker[]

This faction's unit will show up as patrols in Ludern.
This faction's unit can spawn as quest group from tavern contract in Ludern, belonging to both "Vanquish" and "Assassination" kind.
Attacking a patrolling Tracker group will instantly cause your Suspicion level being risen to 100. Attacking a Tracker group spawned by quest does not.
This faction will take Wolf, Boar and Bear into battle besides its human units.
Runner[]

Slaughter[]

Animal Unit (Passive): Heals nearest allied animal by same amount as its Constitution)
Wild Opportunism (Passive): Damage +50% against enemies engaged with allied animals.
Gladiators[]
Temporary name for special enemies you fight in the Arena.
All units seems bearing the name of a specialisation of a class, using special main weapon that grants the same skill for that specialisation, and has the passive skill of that specialisation's level 5 branch.
Assassin[]
Ranger class specialisation. Equipped with Arena Jacket (Light Armour), Arena Dagger (Dagger) and Blinding Powder (Off-hand).
Brawler[]
Brute class specialisation. Equipped with Arena Breastplate (Heavy Armour), Arena Spiked Mace (Mace) and Riverted Shield (Shield).
Barbarian[]
Warrior class specialisation. Equipped with Arena Hauberk (Medium Armour), Arena Axe (Axe) and Grappling Hook (Off-hand).

Civilians[]
Two Civilian type units exists for some special battles.
These units show up when you fight a travelling Edoranian Refugee caravan.
The first type is equipped with Rancher's Outfit (Basic Armour), Old Club (Mace) and Torch (Off-hand).
The second type is equipped with Rancher's Outfit (Basic Armour) and Rancher's Pitchfork (Polearm).
Plague-ridden[]
This unit roams the land of Ludern.
