Forging Armor[]
Items marked with type 'craft' can be forged at a forge if the player has the requisite blueprint learned and the required materials.
Values for 'craft'-type items below are given at their base value only.
When forging, superior quality items can be obtained if the player strikes the 4 pieces on the anvil at the 'golden' moment when the forge sparks.
Superior quality items can forged be in +1 (+10% to base stats rounded down and +1 armor layer slot, if armor) and +2 (+20% to base stats rounded down and +2 armor layer slot, if armor), requiring golden strikes as below:
Golden strikes | Stat Boost |
---|---|
1 | Chance of +1 superior item |
2 | Certain of +1 superior item |
3/4 | Chance of +2 superior item |

The 'Champion Craftsman' Power and Might path title grant a free armor layer slot to all forged armors, allowing the player to create armors with up to 3 armor slots when forging a +2 superior item with this title.
